Social initiatives
The RWFC has taken its social and community initiatives very seriously, and in this regard, the Club have chosen to commit itself to the children of Providence School, Shillong. Providence is a school based in Shillong for the underprivileged and orphaned children in and around Meghalaya, and provides them with education and vocational training in order to equip them with skills for employment. The RWFC has pledged its seasonal match revenue, with a minimum of Rs. 2,00,000 (Rs. 2 Lakh) as annual aid to the Providence School.
In addition, the RWFC also supports its home neighbourhood in Shillong – the locality of Wahingdoh, with its food donations to the underprivileged and unemployed.
